Organization:: Organization and formation of for-profit and non-profit entities such as corporations, LLC, and partnerships and ongoing maintenance of business records and required statutory filings.
General Business Matters:: Pappas and Lenzo serves the role of General Counsel for many of its business and non-profit clients, and works closely with its clients to service their ongoing legal requirements. The Firm provides valuable support to its clients' human resource and business operations in developing sound business and litigation avoidance strategies. The Firm is experienced in the drafting and negotiation of contracts in areas such as professional services, information technology services, construction services, vendor contracts, joint venture agreements, equipment leasing, licensing agreements, asset purchase and sale, security agreements and UCC filings. Pappas and Lenzo is often called upon to resolve disputes between its clients' and their customers, vendors and other third party service providers.
Employment Law:: Pappas and Lenzo assists its business and organizational clients in developing sound employment practices and strategies in both the initial hiring and discharge of employees. The Firm provides services in the areas of drafting and negotiation of employment related agreements such as non-competition agreements, non-disclosure agreements, severance agreements, as well as the review and editing of Employee Handbooks. Pappas and Lenzo provides experienced representation to its clients in employment related disputes including discrimination matters filed with the MCAD and EOEA, wage disputes, enforcement of employment contracts, wrongful discharge and other employment based matters, and litigation of employment based disputes in all state and federal courts.

Commercial Matters

Pappas and Lenzo represents a variety of businesses engaged in the sale of goods and services in areas such as information technology, professional services, construction, and general retail, and works closely with its clients to develop and implement effective strategies in areas such as securing payments for goods sold and delivered, collection of receivables, resolution of vendor disputes, insurance claims and coverage disputes. The Firm also provides valuable assistance to its clients in dealing with creditors and resolving account payable issues.

Real Estate

Pappas and Lenzo represents developers, owners, purchasers, sellers, lessors and lessees in commercial and residential real estate transactions. The Firm provides experienced counsel in areas such as the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, development and management agreements, construction agreements and other operative agreements and documents as well as the review and negotiation of financing documents. The Firm also provides services in the areas of zoning, environmental, permitting and other land use issues. Pappas and Lenzo are approved attorneys for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Lawyers Title Insurance Company.
